The Working Group on Agency Rationalization was held.

Today, the next meeting of the Working Group for Rationalization of Agencies was held,
where in addition to the permanent members of the working group, representatives from the
six ministries of the sectors involved in the rationalization process for this round also
participated: Ministry of Digitalization and Public Administration, Ministry of Environment
and Spatial Planning, Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, Ministry of Finance, Ministry
of Labor, Family and KLA War Values, Ministry of Education and Science and Ministry of
Justice.
At this meeting, the work carried out so far by the members of the working group was
presented, including the analysis of the organization and functioning of the agencies in
relation to the Law on the Organization and Functioning of State Administration and
Independent Agencies (LOFASHAP), the obligations arising from the Reform Agenda for the
relevant sectors, as well as the requirements of the EU acquis and the practices of the
European Union countries regarding the organization of agencies and bodies in these sectors.
The rationalization of agencies aims to improve the organization of public administration by
establishing clearer lines of accountability between ministries and agencies, a clear division
of responsibilities, and increasing efficiency and institutional coordination.
The rationalization of agencies is one of the objectives of public administration reform,
foreseen in the Public Administration Reform Strategy (PARS) 2022–2027, the National
Development Strategy and the Reform Agenda agreed between the Government of the
Republic of Kosovo and the European Commission.
