Estonia is one of the most successful global examples of digital government transformation, while its experience and cooperation with Estonian institutions have been an important source of inspiration and guidance for Kosovo’s digital transformation strategy.
As part of the Global AI and Digital Summit 2026 in Seoul, Minister Lulëzon Jagxhiu held a meeting with Mr. Priit Turk, Director General for Digital and Cyber Diplomacy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia, and Dr. Nele Leosk, Estonia’s candidate for Director of the Telecommunication Development Bureau at the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
During the meeting, views were exchanged on Kosovo’s progress and priorities in digital transformation, with a focus also on Estonia’s experience in digital governance, cybersecurity and the implementation of new technologies in the public sector. Minister Jagxhiu presented plans to expand and modernise digital public services, advance the interconnection of institutional systems and integrate artificial intelligence into public administration.
Continued cooperation and the exchange of experience with Estonia remain important for advancing Kosovo’s digital transformation, with the aim of translating experience and best practices into innovative solutions and more accessible, efficient and secure public services for citizens and businesses.
