Kosovo engages in direct cooperation with ENISA with access to its key mechanisms

Representatives of Kosovo participated in the launch of the project organized by the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA), held in Athens, Greece.

This new project, funded by the European Commission, aims to strengthen direct cooperation and the inclusion of Kosovo and other Western Balkan countries in ENISA’s professional mechanisms for cybersecurity.

The event was also attended by the Cybersecurity Advisor to the Minister of Digitalization and Public Administration, Mr. Shkumbin Saneja, who represented Kosovo in discussions and activities to advance cooperation in this field.

As part of this commitment, Kosovo representatives are also participating in the visiting program of the European cybersecurity exercise CyberEurope 2026, together with other Western Balkan countries.

Through this project, access to key ENISA mechanisms is provided, including the framework for assessing national capacities, the European cybersecurity capabilities framework, cyber exercise programs, awareness-raising tools, methodologies for measuring the level of cybersecurity, as well as training and capacity-building activities.

This cooperation brings Kosovo closer to ENISA practices and the requirements of the NIS2 Directive, contributing to increasing preparedness and resilience to cyber threats.

The Ministry of Digitalization and Public Administration remains committed to deepening cooperation with European partners and strengthening cybersecurity in the Republic of Kosovo
