The Minister of Digitalization and Public Administration, Lulëzon Jagxhiu, hosted representatives of Free Libre Open Source Software Kosova (FLOSSK) in a meeting, with whom he held an open and constructive discussion on developments in the field of technology and digitalization in the country.
During the meeting, the Minister informed the attendees about the main areas of responsibility of the Ministry and its priorities, including the advancement of digital services, the construction of a sustainable data infrastructure, and the drafting of policies aimed at increasing security and digital sovereignty.
The Ministry’s commitments in building a national interoperability framework in line with the European framework were also discussed, as well as the role that Open Source solutions can play in increasing the transparency, efficiency and sustainability of public systems.
Minister Jagxhiu expressed his readiness for further cooperation with Free Libre Open Source Software Kosova (FLOSSK) and the wider technology community, especially in cases where there is a possibility of using Open Source solutions, as well as in creating the best possible policies for the digital sector. The meeting reconfirmed the joint commitment to advance policies that strengthen the use of open technologies and contribute to the sustainable digital development of the country.
