Today, at the Innovation and Training Park in Prizren, the fourth edition of DigiCamp and Digital Skills Festival 2026 opened, a platform that has now become a meeting point for institutions, the private sector, academia and young people to advance Kosovo’s digital transformation.
The opening was attended by Minister Lulëzon Jagxhiu, who emphasized that from an initiative focused on lectures and knowledge exchange, DigiCamp has developed into a concrete co-creation space, where innovative solutions are being built for the challenges of the public sector. This year, for the first time, the event also has a regional character with participants from Albania and North Macedonia, while juniors – students aged 14 to 17 – have also become part of it.
Minister Jagxhiu said that we live in a time when artificial intelligence is transforming the way we learn, work and live, while the integration of artificial intelligence into government systems remains a key priority. He emphasized that this makes it necessary to continue and increase investments in digital infrastructure, advance data infrastructure and develop digital skills in public administration.
According to him, digital transformation is not just about technology, but about people, knowledge and skills to build more efficient, more innovative and better-prepared institutions for the future.
Finally, Minister Jagxhiu thanked the European Union, Germany, GIZ, ITP and all partners who continue to support this important initiative. I hope that DigiCamp and the Digital Skills Festival 2026 will bring new ideas, sustainable collaborations and impactful projects for the digital future of Kosovo, he emphasized.
