The Minister of Digitalization and Public Administration, Lulëzon Jagxhiu, visited today the final of the 2026 State Cybersecurity Championship, where talented young men and women of Kosovo are challenging their knowledge and skills in one of the most strategic areas of our time.

On this occasion, Minister Jagxhiu emphasized that cybersecurity today is not only a matter of technology, but is directly related to data protection, the functioning of institutions, the trust of citizens, democratic stability and national security.

He underlined that cybersecurity is a necessity and a high priority for the Government of Kosovo, emphasizing that this field requires multidimensional commitment through the development of policies and legislation, the building of institutional mechanisms, investment in technological capacities, raising awareness and strengthening national and international cooperation.

Minister Jagxhiu assessed that the most important link in building cybersecurity remains people. In this regard, he emphasized the commitment of institutions, in cooperation with international partners and allies, to provide cybersecurity training for teams in government and critical infrastructure, as well as to create new professional cadres. According to him, the talent, knowledge and professionalism of new generations are the foundation of a safer digital space for the country.

The Minister congratulated the Kosovo Cyber ​​Team, trainers, partners and all supporters who are contributing to the development of future cybersecurity experts.

At the same time, he wished success to the finalists in the competition to represent Kosovo at the European Cybersecurity Championship, which will be held in Germany, expressing his belief that they will represent the country with professionalism and dignity.
