The Minister of Digitalisation and Public Administration, Lulëzon Jagxhiu, together with the Minister of Public Administration of Montenegro, Marash Dukaj, signed the Agreement between the Republic of Kosovo and Montenegro on the Mutual recognition of electronic identification schemes and qualified trust services
The agreement represents an important step forward in strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the field of digital transformation and establishes the basis for the mutual recognition of electronic identification and qualified trust services. Through this agreement, the legal certainty of electronic transactions will be enhanced, while paving the way for the provision of cross-border digital services.
Over the years, the Republic of Kosovo and Montenegro have built strong neighbourly relations based on mutual respect, shared values, and common aspirations for integration into the European Union. This agreement will further strengthen that partnership and contribute to the implementation of the reforms that both countries are undertaking within the framework of the European Union Growth Plan.
Minister Jagxhiu thanked Minister Marash Dukaj and the teams from both countries for the excellent cooperation that made the conclusion of this agreement possible. He expressed confidence that this cooperation would expand into other areas of mutual interest, contributing to the advancement of digital transformation and the delivery of higher-quality services to citizens.
