Open Tech Thursdays | #04
#OpenTechThursdays continues, this time at the German-Kosovar Chamber of Commerce (OEGJK-
KDWV), where the Minister of Digitalization and Public Administration, Lulëzon Jagxhiu, discussed
cooperation between the Government and the private sector regarding the further development of
Kosovo’s technology sector.
Over the past five years, ICT service exports from Kosovo have grown by approximately 455%,
demonstrating the sector’s potential and competitiveness, as well as the need to collaboratively create
the conditions for the next phase of growth.
Minister Jagxhiu outlined the Ministry’s priorities regarding digital skills development, the advancement
of national digital infrastructure, and the creation of an environment conducive to the growth of the
digital economy.
The meeting also addressed the need for a more structured dialogue among the Government, the
private sector, and academia, facilitated through roundtables with the technology sector.
Efforts with the OEGJK-KDWV also aim to intensify cooperation in the realm of digital diplomacy,
promoting Kosovo, its talent, and its ICT sector in Germany and international markets.
#OpenTechThursdays creates a space for direct dialogue with the technology ecosystem and for building
shared solutions that drive Kosovo’s digital transformation forward.
