Progress in implementing the e-Government strategy: 75% of activities already implemented or in progress!
The Minister of Digitalization and Public Administration, Lulëzon Jagxhiu, opened today the workshop for the assessment of the implementation of the e-Government Strategy 2023–2027 and the planning of steps for the remaining period of its implementation.
On this occasion, Minister Jagxhiu highlighted the progress achieved in the implementation of the Action Plan 2023–2025. Within about 2.5 years, over 75% of the planned activities have been implemented or are in the process of implementation.
He underlined that the e-Government Strategy is the roadmap for the digital transformation of public institutions. Through it, key digitalization reforms and initiatives are being implemented, including the eKosova 2.0 platform, life event-based services, integrated service centres, integration of artificial intelligence in digital initiatives, building data infrastructure for artificial intelligence, advancing interoperability, open data portal, government-wide platform for interconnecting internal systems and processes, electronic identification, modernization of the government network, transition to hybrid cloud, transformation of ASHI into ASHI 2.0, as well as the creation of a sustainable framework for the development of digital capacities.
Minister Jagxhiu emphasized that Kosovo’s progress in digital governance has also been recognized by international reports and assessments, including the OECD/SIGMA 2024 monitoring report, as well as the World Bank’s GTMI index, which in 2025 ranked Kosovo in Group A of countries with the highest level of maturity in the field of GovTech.
Finally, he expressed gratitude for the work and dedication of the Information Society Agency, the Digital Transformation Unit and other government institutions in implementing these reforms and initiatives, and thanked international partners for their continued support on the journey of Kosovo’s digital transformation.
