Workshop held on guidelines for hiring, handover and exit interviews

The Department for the Management of Public Officials (DMPO), within the Ministry of Digitalization and Public Administration, in cooperation with SIGMA, held the next workshop within the cycle of meetings aimed at strengthening the role of Human Resources Management Units (HRMUs) as strategic partners in public administration.

The opening remark was delivered by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Digitalization and Public Administration, Ms. Flurije Durmishi, who emphasized the importance of the continuous development of the capacities of HRMUs and their role in supporting reforms in the civil service, while also offering her support in this process.

The workshop also included representatives from SIGMA, including Mr. Lech Marcinkowski, Senior Policy Advisor and Team Leader for Public Service and Human Resource Management, Mr. Wojciech Zielinski, Senior Policy Advisor, as well as Mr. Kaido Paabusk, international consultant, who presented international best practices in these areas.

A special focus of this workshop was the presentation of the guidelines developed by DMPO, which contain practical instructions for the procedures of admission to work, handover of duty and exit interviews. These guidelines aim to standardize and improve key processes of human resources management in public institutions.

During the workshop, presentations and interactive discussions were held regarding the implementation of these guidelines in practice, as well as an exchange of experiences on challenges and opportunities for improvement.

This workshop constitutes an important step towards standardizing and improving key human resource management processes.

It contributes simultaneously to strengthening the role of the HRMU and to increasing quality, continuity and professionalism in public administration, as well as to increasing efficiency, transparency and service orientation towards citizens.
